What to Expect at Congregation Beth Simcha
19 I will give them unity of heart. “I will put a new spirit among you.” I will remove from their bodies the hearts of stone and give them hearts of flesh.
A Warm Welcome
You can always expect to be welcomed by the people at CBS. You will be greeted and made to feel at home.
Liturgical Prayer Service
Prayer from the Heart
A Synagogue is called Beit Tefilla (House of Prayer) in Hebrew. Some of our prayers are taken directly from the Bible and some are compilations from different parts of scripture put together. We stand together and declare God's Word back to Him.
The men gather for Shacharit prayer at 9:30.
Worship in Song and Dance
Worship in song and dance is a great expression of our love for God. The book of Psalms is filled with songs of praise and worship. Dance is also mentioned in Scripture many times as a form of praise unto God. It is pleasing unto Him.
"Your God the LORD is in your midst, A warrior who brings triumph. He will rejoice over you and be glad, He will shout over you with jubilation. He will soothe with His love." Zephaniah 3:17
The Torah is the foundation of all Scripture. Messiah Yeshua spoke these words:
"46 For if you really believed Moshe, you would believe me; because it was about me that he wrote.
Each service we have a man come up to read from the Torah portion and a lady to read from the New Covenant scriptures.
But should believers in Yeshua (Jesus) still hold on to the Torah? Didn't he do away with the law?
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
Messiah is the Living Torah (John 1).
No Personal Agendas Allowed
If you have any agenda other than serving God and walking out your faith with us in the "unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace," then Congregation Beth Simcha is not the place for you.
If you desire to prove to us how wrong we are, or that the Law is done away with, or that the Jewish people are no longer God's chosen people, then Congregation Beth Simcha is not the place for you.
